Unknown Boat

can anybody identify this boat ?

Location is on entrance of La Pallice, Date unknown, possible 1941.

Seems to be a Marconi class sub - I`m a little bit confused about the conning tower arrangement.

Hi there, indeed looks like a Marconi class submarine, between 1941 an 1942 each unit of that class changed both conning tower shape and arrangement.

On that particular unit lack the periscopes fairing while the tower’s shape looks to be the original one, I cannot identify the specific unit, maybe someone else.. a nice picture by the way, thx for sharing!
