First, apologies because I can not write Italian.

(I can read it a little bit)

 

Second, happy new year !

 

Third : I am building a CB type submarine in 1:14 scale.

 

 

can you help me with pictures of the real CB ?

 

especially, does anybody perhaps have pictures from the CB in Triest

(Civico Museo di guerra per la pace "Diego de Henriquez") or the

CB "malisan" in Zagreb ?

I need closeups of the tower and the upper deck.

Hi Steffsap !

 

Thanks for your assistance. I do have the ANB plans already. very valuable for building !

but there seems to be small differences between individual boats, like the shape

of the periscope housing and the rear of the tower structure.

 

Once I put polyester on my model, I can only make small changes. so any information

is welcome in this stage, while I can modify the base model easily.

 

I have also tried to search the internet for pictures but there are not so many.

I did know the picture, but not the link to the museum. I knew some

pages in an overview of all the museums of Triest.

 

maybe the email account mentioned on this site works ! (the other did not)

 

I have also seen the dive site.

It seems to me that sub is too large to be an CB (and if it had two periscopes, as in the

drawing, it is certainly no CB)

Also, I have no photo-proof yet with a netcutter mounted on the CB.

 

I think this sub could also be the follow-up of the CB, the CM or CC.

what do you think ?

I will report on the progress.

 

My model will be able to dive. I have already built another model, based on a

plastic kit (trumpeter Kilo 1/144).

Larger models are easier, so this CB will work !

I have never seen that hatch just after the tower.

I am very grateful for the photo's made by Luco Comarin (U112).

 

Now I have visisted the Zagreb Technical Museum, and I would like to thank you

with a few photo's I made.

 

Visiting this submarine in Zagreb changed my view on the ANB plans.

there are several things not correct in those drawings. especially the drawing of the

upper deck does not correspond to the CB-20 in Zagreb.

The tail is too low in the plans and the dive planes are not wide enough.

La visita del questo sommergibile a Zagabria ha cambiato il mio punto di vista sui programmi di ANB. ci sono parecchie cose non corrette in quelle illustrazioni particolarmente che l'illustrazione della piattaforma superiore non corrisponde al CB-20 a Zagabria. La coda è troppo bassa nei programmi e gli aerei di tuffo non sono abbastanza largamente.

an idea about differences... CB20 served in Yougoslavian Navy after the war, perhaps was modified in this period.

 

watching on my books nothing let me think to differences between the CB's at the exit form Caproni (the factory). If you look to the CB in Trieste perhaps is more similar to ANB 's drawings than the CB in Zagreb...

 

what's you mind about this?

The ANB plans : some are original but other plans are new. like the plan of the upper deck.

This plan is not usable. holes are too large, other details are missing.

Also, this plan shows the tail of the boat is smaller than the boat. CB20 has a tail that is

as wide as the hull. Also, I have never seen the tail shown on the plan in wartime photo's.

all tails I have seen on wartime photo's are like in my last picture.

 

I have not seen the CB in Trieste myself, but I understand it has been rusting before the museum

took it. I think much of the hull is new. The hull in Zagreb is original (with rivets !)

Also, the tower of the trieste boat looks different compared to photo's from the wartime.

 

But also you are right : the yougoslav army modified the CB-20 boat after the war.

 

I will build my model as I have seen it in Zagreb. just to remember a very pleasant visit.

I am no expert, but the zagreb boat gives me the most information. we will never know if the model

is 100% correct. that is OK. I just make it dive :s01:

 

I programmi di ANB: alcuni sono originali ma altri programmi sono nuovi come il programma della piattaforma superiore.
