Totiano* Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 are you sure about the sub, Erwann? some books in Italy says that Finzi was decommissioned in LaPallice... about the "pieces": on the left it looks like a valve on pressure hull, not far from intake/exaust valve for internal atmosphere. On the right parts of the hull: thay are thin so I suppose that are from ballast tank. @Lefa: siamo ll'interno del bunker di Bordeaux e quello che vedi è il soffitto del primo alveo. i nostri ciceroni ci hanno detto che un battello tedesco era stato fato eslodere per nno farlo cadere in mano nemica. Lefa Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Sul FINZI, 'Navi Militari Perdute' dice: 2. FINZI (1.550) Il pomeriggio del 9 Settembre 1943, nella Base Atlantica di Bordeaux. Alla promulgazione dell'armistizio si trovava a Bordeaux ai lavori. Fu catturato dai tedeschi che lo contraddistinsero con la sigla U.IT.21. Sembra tuttavia che non sia stato impiegato e che sia stato fatto saltare dai tedeschi il 25 Agosto 1944 durante lo sgombero della base. Mentre 'Betasom, la Guerra negli Oceani' conferma, ma riporta altra data: .. L'altro sommergibile di Bordeaux, l'UIT-21(ex FINZI), si trovava in tali condizioni di usura, che i tedeschi abbandonarono l'idea di ripararlo. Nell'Aprile del 1944 essi lo misero fuori servizio, e poi lo fecero saltare il 20 Agosto del 1944 all'atto dell'abbandono di quel porto. Edited May 12, 2013 by Lefa Quote
