It really seems an original Regia Marina hat, with the badge of a sottotenente di vascello.

Nevertheless, the golden anchor isn't a original one, dating back to a later time.

very difficult to say with only 3 photos... it should be necessary to see more images and how the ribbon is fixed to the hat ...

It mount a very rare and original ribbon of italian submarine "F 8"; in service for only two yers, from 1917 to 1919. I have some doubt about the hat, it seem like a 30 years hat and not like a ww1 hat...

For a cap of ww1 period it seems too large and rigid...

You should ask for more images.
