Due unità della spagnola Classe Churruca costruite a Cartagena e varate nel 1927, ispirate all'HMS Scott della classe Admiralty (come ha osservato Malaspina il disegno è albionico) vennero cedute alla Marina Argentina e presero i nomi di Ara Cervantes e Ara Juan de Garay. Quale delle due sia quella in foto non so dire con precisione, ma suppongo la Cervantes come si dava ad intendere nei miei riferimenti a Don Chisciotte Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Red* Report post Posted November 30, 2021 Ed è esattamente il cacciatorpediniere Cervantes che assieme al Juan de Garay dava nome ad una classe acquistata in Spagna dall'Argentina nel 1927. La lunghezza di queste navi era di m 97,5 mentre quella (per dar conto a Malaspina , che certamente conosce ) della classe Mendoza ( tre unità ) era di m 102 così con una differenza di m 4,5. Don Chisciotte della Mancia da quì il mio " manciava". Cervantes mangiava soltanto con la destra perchè invalidato per ferita alla mano sinistra durante la Battaglia di Lepanto e fu curato nel Lazzaretto della Cittadella di Messina ( porto ).
