La foto è stata scattata durante la cerimonia di consegna del cimelio ai rappresentanti de HMG, Istituto Storico Militare di Vienna, effettuata nel febbraio 1997. A detta dell'Autore del ritrovamento, dell'articolo di Storia Militare e relative foto, ing. Alfredo Dal Secco, si tratterebbe dell'unico esemplare conosciuto di questo genere di imbarcazioni, mentre gli altri ritovamenti sono relativi a pontoncini costituenti elementi di ponte. Molto probabilmente l'imbarcazione è stata travolta e insabbiata durante la piena del fiume del giugno 1918, nel corso della cosiddetta Battagli del Solstizio.
