inhocsignovinces Report post Posted June 6, 2021 Proprio lei...citata in vari testi..anche in quello di Angelo del Boca se non erro..credo che la scrittura esatta del nome sia Yamayuri Maru..con la doppia Y..perché solo così si trovano notizie in rete, mentre con l'altro nome si trova nelle pagine di vari libri che parlano dell'AOI. Il trasporto inutile di cui parlavo è riferito al fatto che oltre a carburante, riso, zucchero e olio di oliva la vera cosa importante per l'esercito erano i circa 6000 pneumatici per autocarro di cui in AOI c'era assoluta penuria...e una volta arrivati ci si accorse...che erano di misura SBAGLIATA! Quando accennavo ad una compagnia francese con grossi interessi commerciali in Italia mi riferivo al fatto che la Fabre, oltre che avere una filiale a Napoli, aveva costituito, sempre a Napoli nel 1901 una nuova società italo francese, da essa controllata: "La Patria - Società anonima di trasporti marittimi" il cui amministratore delegato era il cavalier Vincenzo De Luca, avo e omonimo dell'attuale presidente della Regione Campania. Mentre la seconda è pressochè sconosciuta, l'Afrique, dato l'elevato numero di vittime (568), è nota come il Titanic francese.
